First-arriving crew stretches lines and rescues an occupant
On 12 April, 2015, members of the Essex Junction Fire Department, along with police officers, responded to a reported residential structure fire with a person trapped.
Firefighters were called to the Cherry Street house at approximately 0530 hours. As seen in the video below, the first arriving crew faced a significant fire and confirmation of a person still inside. Watch the video and take note of how this whole crew, with assistance from the police officers, operated to make a successful rescue AND put water on the fire.
